4,4,5,5-Tetramethyl-2-(4-pyridinio)imidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide chloride

Abstract: The title compound C₁₂H₁₇N₃O₂⁺·Cl^- consists of a discrete [NITpPyH]⁺ cation [NITpPy = 2-(4'-pyridyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide] and a chloride anion. The NITpPy molecule is protonated at the N atom of the pyridyl ring. The anions and cations are connected via N-HCl hydrogen bonds.
