Bis(1-methyl-1H-imidazole-N³)[N,N'-o-phenylenebis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)-⁴N]manganese(II)

Abstract: The title compound, [Mn(C₁₈H₁₂N₄O₂)(C₄H₆N₂)₂], belongs to the family of 1,2-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)benzene (H₂bpb) ligated metal complexes. The manganese center is octahedrally coordinated by a bpb ligand and two axial 1-methylimidazole molecules. The axial N-Mn-N group is bent with a bond angle of 151.79 (7)°.
