Diaquabis(pyridine-2-carboxylato-²N,O)iron(II)

Abstract: The Fe^II atom in the title complex, [Fe(C₆H₄NO₂)₂(H₂O)₂], exists in a distorted octahedral coordination geometry defined by two O and two N atoms from two pyridine-2-carboxylate ligands and two O atoms of two water molecules. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked into a three-dimensional framework by O-HO hydrogen bonds.
