Abstract: The Sn^IV atom in the title compound, [Sn(C₉H₄Cl₂NO)₂Cl₂], is chelated by the substituted quinolin-8-olate anions in a distorted octahedral geometry. The N-donor atoms are in a cis alignment as are the Cl atoms; the O atoms are trans to each other.
