Abstract: The title compound, C14H10BrN3O3, was obtained by a condensation reaction between 2-nitrobenzaldehyde and 4-bromobenzohydrazide. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 4.1 (2)°. The molecule displays an E configuration about the C=N bond. In the crystal, molecules are linked into a chain along [100] by intermolecular N-H
O hydrogen bonds.
