Abstract: In tricyclic fragment of the title molecule, C20H14ClNOS, the central 1,4-dihydropyridine ring adopts a boat conformation while the two benzene rings form a dihedral angle of 17.38 (5)°. In the crystal structure, weak intermolecular N-H
O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains propagating along the b axis.
