2O,O')bis(1H-imidazole-
N3)nickel(II)Abstract: In the title mononuclear complex, [Ni(C8H7O3)2(C3H4N2)2], the NiII atom, lying on a twofold rotation axis, is coordinated by four carboxylate O atoms from two bidentate 3-hydroxyphenylacetato ligands and two N atoms from two imidazole molecules in a distorted octahedral geometry. A three-dimensional network is formed via intermolecular O-H
O and N-H
O hydrogen bonds and
-
stacking interactions between the imidazole and benzene rings of neighboring molecules [centroid-centroid distance = 3.856 (2) Å].
