Abstract: The title compound, C21H24Br2N2O3, was synthesized by the condensation reaction of 3-methoxysalicylaldehyde with 4-(2-amino-3,5-dibromobenzylamino)cyclohexanol in a methanol solution. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 76.4 (3)°. The cyclohexyl ring adopts a chair configuration. There is an intramolecular O-H
N hydrogen bond which affects the solid state conformation of the molecule. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular O-H
O hydrogen bonds, forming chains running along the b axis.
