Abstract: The water-coordinated metal atom in the title compound, [Cu(C₇H₄NO₄)₂(C₆H₆N₂O)₂(H₂O)₂], lies on a center of inversion in an all-trans octahedral environment with slight distortions. The molecule interacts with adjacent molecules through O-HO and N-HO hydrogen bonds, forming a layered network parallel to (010).
