Gabapentinium picrate

Abstract: The title compound {systematic name: [1-(carboxymethyl)cyclohexyl]methanaminium 2,4,6-trinitrophenolate}, C₉H₁₈NO₂⁺·C₆H₂N₃O₇^-, was synthesized from picric acid and gabapentin. The crystal packing is stabilized by intramolecular N-HO=N and N-HO-Ph hydrogen bonds. An O-HO interaction is also present.
