Abstract: In the title compound, [CuZnCl₂(C₁₉H₂₀N₂O₄)], the Cu^II ion exhibits a slightly distorted square-planar coordination geometry defined by two N atoms and two O atoms of the 6,6'-dimethoxy-2,2'-[propane-1,3-diylbis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenolate Schiff base ligand. The Zn^II ion is also four-coordinated by the two phenolate O atoms of the Schiff base ligand and by two cis-coordinated chloride anions.
