Aquabis(benzoato-O)bis(1H-imidazole-N³)copper(II) monohydrate

Abstract: In the title compound, [Cu(C₇H₅O₂)₂(C₃H₄N₂)₂(H₂O)]·H₂O, the Cu^II atom is in a distorted square-pyramidal environment. The molecules are assembled into double chains extending along [010] by N-HO hydrogen bonds. These double chains are linked by O-HO hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to (02); the layers are linked into a three-dimensional network by van der Waals interactions.
