Abstract: The conformation of the N-H bond in the title compound, C₁₀H₁₀Cl₃NO, is anti to the C=O bond. The amide H atom exhibits both intramolecular N-HCl and intermolecular N-HO hydrogen bonding. The latter interactions link the molecules into infinite chains.
