Abstract: In the title compound, (C₆H₁₄N₂)[ZnCl₄]·H₂O, the crystal packing is governed by an extensive three-dimensional network of N-HCl, N-HO and O-HCl hydrogen bonds. The zinc(II) metal centre has a slightly distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry.
