Abstract: In the title compound, C18H14N4O4·CH3OH, the mean planes of the benzene ring and the quinoline ring system make a dihedral angle of 15.5 (2)°. The methanol solvent molecule forms an O-H
N hydrogen bond to the quinoline ring system and accepts an N-H
O hydrogen bond from the hydrazide NH group. The molecules lie in layers approximately parallel to (101) and C-H
O interactions exist between molecules within the layers.
