Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₅H₁₅NO₄, the n-methylpiperidone ring adopts a chair conformation and both five-membered rings adopt a twist conformation. An intramolecular O-HO hydrogen bond is observed. Inversion-related molecules are linked into R₂²(10) dimers by pairs of O-HO hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure is further stabilized by C-HO hydrogen bonds.
