Bis[4-(dimethylamino)pyridinium] pentabromidochloridostannate(IV)

Abstract: In the title compound, (C₇H₁₁N₂)₂[SnBr₅Cl], there is Br/Cl disorder in 0.6561 (12):0.3439 (12) and 0.8438 (12):0.1561 (12) ratios over two of three halide sites in the centrosymmetric anion, such that an overall formulation of [SnBr₅Cl]^2- arises. In the crystal, associations of two cations and one anion linked by N-HBr hydrogen bonds occur.
