5-[(4-Acetylphenyl)aminomethylene]-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane-4,6-dione

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₅H₁₅NO₅, the six-membered dioxane ring assumes an envelope conformation with the dimethyl substituted C atom as the flap atom. An intramolecular N-HO interaction is also present. In the crystal structure the molecules are linked via C-HO hydrogen bonds into supramolecular chains along the b axis.
