Abstract: In the title complex, [Cu(C14H9ClN2O3)(C5H5N)], the CuII ion exhibits a distorted trans-CuN2O2 square-planar geometry arising from the O,O,N-tridentate ligand and a pyridine molecule. An intramolecular O-H
N hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal structure, weak intermolecular C-H
interactions generate a chain. The crystal studied was an inversion twin.
