Abstract: In the structure of the title compound, [Fe(C5H5)(C15H15N2O)]·H2O, the unsubstituted cyclopentadiene (Cp) ring is disordered over two positions, with site-occupancy factors of 0.636 (12) and 0.364 (12). The dihedral angles between the planes of the substituted Cp ring and the major and minor components of the disordered ring are 0.8 (3) and 3.4 (6)°, respectively. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular O-H
O hydrogen bonds, forming zigzag chains running parallel to the a axis.
