-2-methylquinolin-1-ium-8-olato-
2O:O')bis[(2-methylquinolin-1-ium-8-olato-
O)tris(nitrato-
2O,O')lanthanum(III)]Abstract: The two independent N-heterocycles in the centrosymmetric title compound, [La2(C10H9NO)4(NO3)6], exist in the zwitterionic form. One of these binds to one metal center, whereas the other bridges two metal centers. The La atom is chelated by three nitrate groups and is surrounded by nine O atoms in a coordination environment based on a distorted monocapped square-antiprism. The dinuclear structure is further stabilized by intramolecular N-H
O(nitrate) hydrogen bonds.
