Abstract: The five-coordinate Sn atom in the title salt, [(CH3)3(C6H6)N][SnBr2(C6H5)3], exists in a distorted trans-C3SnBr2 trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry. In the crystal structure no obvious hydrogen bonding is observed.
