O1)copper(II)]-
-1,3-di-4-pyridylpropane-
2N:N']Abstract: In the title compound, [Cu(C8H4NO6)2(C13H14N2)]n, the square-planar coordinated CuII ion lies on an inversion centre and is coordinated by two protonated 5-nitroisophthalate ligands. The CuII ions are linked into a one-dimensional coordination polymer by tethering 1,3-di-4-pyridylpropane ligands, whose central methylene C atoms are situated on twofold rotation axes. The chains are oriented parallel to the c axis, and stack into a supramolecular three-dimensional structure through O-H
O hydrogen-bonding interactions.
