Abstract: The title compound, C₇H₈N₂O₂, is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation for non-H atoms = 0.029 Å). In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N-HO hydrogen bonds generate an R₂²(8) ring motif.
