Abstract: In the cation of the title compound, C7H7N2+·H2PO4-, the nitrile group and the benzene ring are almost coplanar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0035 Å). The cations and anions are connected by intermolecular N-H
O, O-H
O and O-H
N hydrogen bonds, together with
-
interactions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.8131 (9) Å], forming a three-dimensional network.
