(S)-1-Carboxy-2-(4-nitrophenyl)ethanaminium bromide

Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C₉H₁₁N₂O₄⁺·Br^-, the ethanaminium cations and Br^- anions are linked together by N-HBr and O-HBr hydrogen bonding. In the cation, the nitro group is twisted with respect to the benzene ring, making a dihedral angle of 21.43 (5)°.
