Diaquabis(4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyridine-3-sulfonato-[kappa]2O3,O4)zinc(II)

Z.-B. Zhu, S. Gao and S. W. Ng

Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Zn(C5H4NO4S)2(H2O)2], the 4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyridine-3-sulfonate anion chelates to water-coordinated zinc centres through the carbonyl O atom and through one O atom of the sulfonate group. The ZnII atom lies on a center of inversion, and adjacent molecules are linked by N-H...O and O-H...O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.
