Bis[(18-crown-6-⁶O)sodium] (18-crown-6-1⁶O)--thiocyanato-1:2²S:N-pentathiocyanato-2⁵N-indate(III)sodium 1,2-dichloroethane sesquisolvate

Abstract: The title complex, [Na(C₁₂H₂₄O₆)]₂[InNa(NCS)₆(C₁₂H₂₄O₆)]·1.5C₂H₄Cl₂, has been synthesized by the reaction of 18-crown-6 with InCl₃ and NaSCN. The In atom has a six-coordinate octahedral environment, being bonded to the N atoms of six thiocyanate groups. The bond lengths and angles show normal values. The crystal packing exhibits no significantly short intermolecular contacts.
