Abstract: In the title compound, {[Mn(C₂O₄)(C₈H₇N₃)]·1.5H₂O}_n, the Mn^II ion is chelated by two O,O'-bidentate oxalate ions and an N,N'-bidentate 3-(2-pyridyl)pyrazole molecule, resulting in a distorted cis-MnN₂O₄ octahedral geometry for the metal ion. The bridging oxalate ions generate wave-like polymeric chains propagating in [001]. The packing is consolidated by N-HO and O-HO hydrogen bonds. One of the water O atoms lies on a crystallographic twofold axis.
