3-Hydroxy-3-nitromethylindolin-2-one

Abstract: In the title compound, C₉H₈N₂O₄, the indolin-2-one ring system is substantially planar [maximum deviation = 0.0353 (15) Å]. In the crystal structure, intermolecular N-HO and O-HO hydrogen bonds are responsible for the formation of a three-dimensional network.
