Abstract: In the title ionic liquid salt hydrate, C₁₈H₃₅N₂⁺·Br^-·H₂O, the side chain in the cation has an extended conformation. The crystal structure is stabilized primarily by O-HBr hydrogen bonds. C-HO and C-HBr interactions are also present.
