catena-Poly[[tetraaquacopper(II)]--trithionato-²O:O']

Abstract: The title supramolecular polymer, [Cu(S₃O₆)(H₂O)₄]_n, features a tetragonally distorted octahedral Cu^II centre within an O₆ donor set with the longer Cu-O bonds linking the dication and the trithionate dianion. Extensive O-HO hydrogen-bonding interactions connect the supramolecular chains into a three-dimensional network.
