Chlorido(dimethyl sulfoxide-O)triphenyltin(IV)

Abstract: In the title compound, [Sn(C₆H₅)₃Cl(C₂H₆OS)], the Sn^IV atom is coordinated by three phenyl groups, a chloride ion and a dimethyl sulfoxide molecule in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. In the crystal, adjacent molecules are linked through intermolecular C-HCl hydrogen bonds, weak C-H interactions and - interactions [centroid-centroid distance = 3.934 (3) Å. An intramolecular C-H interaction is also observed.
