O)cadmium(II)]-di-
2-dicyanamido-
4N1:N5]Abstract: In the title compound, [Cd(C2N3)2(C3H7NO)2], the Cd2+ ion lies on an inversion center and adopts an octahedral coordination geometry, in which four N atoms from four different dicyanamide ligands lie in the equatorial plane and two dimethylformamide O atoms occupy the axial positions. The Cd atoms are connected by two dicyanamide ligands, resulting in a neutral chain propagating parallel to [010].
