Abstract: The SnIV atom in the title salt, [N(CH3)3(C6H5)]2[SnBr4(C6H4Cl)2], exists in a distorted all-trans SnC2Br4 octahedral geometry. The SnIV atom lies on a center of inversion. Weak intermolecular C-H
Br hydrogen bonding is observed between trimethylphenylammonium cations and the Sn complex anion in the crystal structure.
