2-Nitro-p-phenylene dibenzenesulfonate

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₈H₁₃NO₈S₂, the nitrophenyl ring forms dihedral angles of 46.67 (7) and 75.40 (6)° with the phenyl rings. The nitro group makes a dihedral angle of 26.13 (8)° with the attached ring. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak intermolecular C-HO hydrogen bonds.
