Abstract: The title Schiff base compound, C15H14BrNO2, was prepared by the condensation of 2,3-dimethoxybenzaldehyde with 4-bromoaniline. It adopts an E configuration with respect to the C=N bond. The dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 56.79 (8)°. Weak C-H
O and C--H
bonds can be found in the crystal structure.
