N'-[(1E)-1-(3,5-Dichloro-2-hydroxyphenyl)propylidene]-4-methoxybenzohydrazide monohydrate

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₇H₁₆Cl₂N₂O₃·H₂O, displays a trans conformation with respect to the C=N double bond. The dihedral angle between the two benzene rings is 30.77 (5)° and there is one intramolecular N-HO hydrogen bond. In the crystal, molecules are linked by hydrogen bonding to the water molecules of crystallization, which acts as both an acceptor and a donor, into a three-dimensional network.
