Cover illustration: In the binuclear complex [CuNd(C20H22N2O4)(NO3)3], the hexadentate 6,6'-dimethoxy-2,2'-[butane-1,4-diylbis(nitrilomethylidyne)]diphenolato ligand encompasses both a copper(II) and a neodymium(III) ion. Nitrate anions further chelate to the NdIII species, generating a ten-coordinate environment for the rare-earth ion. See Xing, Cui, Zhang & Li [Acta Cryst. (2010). E66, m1423].
