Abstract: In the title compound, C8H7BrO3, the methoxycarbonyl group is twisted at a dihedral angle of 8.06 (4)° with respect to the benzene ring. In the crystal, molecules are connected by O-H
O hydrogen bonds into helical chains running along the b axis.
