Bis(N,N-diisopropylbutanaminium) bis[di--chlorido-bis[dichloridocuprate(II)]]

Abstract: In the title compound, (C₁₀H₂₄N)₂[Cu₂Cl₆], N,N-diisopropylbutanamine is protonated on the N atom. The Cu^II atom in the centrosymmetric [Cu₂Cl₆]^2- anion has a distorted tetrahedral geometry. In the crystal, the cations and anions are connected by N-HCl and C-HCl hydrogen bonds into layers parallel to (100).
