[2-Amino-4,6-bis(2-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine-³N⁴,N⁵,N⁶]dichloridocadmium(II)

Abstract: In the title compound, [CdCl₂(C₁₃H₁₀N₆)], the 2-amino-4,6-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,3,5-triazine (HABPT) ligand adopts a tridentate tripyridyl coordination mode. The Cd^II atom is five-coordinated by three N atoms from the HABPT ligand and two chloride ions. In the crystal, molecules are linked via N-HN, N-HCl and C-HCl hydrogen bonds into a supramolecular network.
