2-(2-Methoxyphenyl)-1-benzofuran

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₅H₁₂O₂, the dihedral angle between the aromatic ring systems is 16.67 (6)°. The methyl C atom is almost coplanar with its attached benzene ring [displacement = 0.020 (2) Å]. In the crystal, the molecules are connected by weak C-HO bonds and face-to-edge C-H interactions between the 2-methoxyphenyl rings.
