N-(4-Bromobutanoyl)-N'-phenylthiourea

B. M. Yamin and N. E. A. Othman

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C11H13Br1N2O1S1, consists of two independent molecules, which are linked by N-H...O hydrogen bonds, forming a dimer. Both molecules maintain the trans--cis configuration with respect to the position of the butanoyl groups and benzene rings against the thiono group across the C-N bonds. The molecule is stabilized by intramolecular N-H...O hydrogen bonds. Intermolecular N-H...S, C-H...S and C-H...[pi] interactions also occur.
