Abstract: The structure of the title compound, C19H19NO2, contains a seven-membered ring, which is fused to one five- and one six-membered ring, and carries a tolyl substituent. The two benzene rings are oriented relative to each other at a dihedral angle of 86.90 (7)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by weak intermolecular C-H
O hydrogen bonds.
