N-(2-Hydroxybenzyl)adamantan-1-aminium chloride

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C₁₇H₂₄NO⁺·Cl^-, consists of a discrete N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)adamantan-1-aminium cation and a Cl^- anion. Intermolecular N-HCl and O-HCl hydrogen bonds occurring between the organic cation and the Cl^- anion generate a layered structure.
