Abstract: In the title molecular salt, C₂₃H₃₀N₄²⁺·2PF₆^-, the central benzene ring of the cation makes dihedral angles of 89.80 (8) and 85.23 (7)° with the pendant imidazole rings. In the crystal, the cations and anions are linked by numerous C-HF hydrogen bonds, thereby forming a three-dimensional network.
