Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₀H₁₄ClN₅, the purine ring system is essentially planar, with an r.m.s. deviation from the least-squares plane defined by the nine constituent atoms of 0.0063 (11) Å. In the crystal, molecules are linked by weak N-HN and C-H interactions.
