Abstract: In the title compound, C₆H₄N₄S, the planar molecule lies across a crystallographic mirror plane. In the crystal, the molecules form centrosymmetric dimers through cyclic amino N-HN hydrogen-bonding associations with cyano N-atom acceptors [graph set R₂²(12)] and these dimers are extended through amine-cyano N-HN associations into a three-dimensional network.
