L-Tyrosine isopropyl ester

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₂H₁₇NO₃, adopts a folded conformation with a C-C(NH₂)-C(=O)-O torsion angle of -95.9 (2)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by an O-HN hydrogen bond, forming helical chains along the b-axis direction. Weak N-HO and C-HO hydrogen bonds are observed between the chains.
